Who is The Breaducator?
I wonder if it is more professional to write this in the third person? Maybe if you think I have an entourage who produce all my website copy you’ll respect me more…is that the case? Who knows? For the purposes of the experiment, this was written by Julius Peck who handles all my affairs.
David Wright is a baker, teacher and writer from Suffolk in the UK. He has worked for some brilliant bakeries such as Pump Street Bakery, The Dusty Knuckle Bakery, Lily Vanilli and Acre Bakery.
In 2023 he wrote Backyard Baking with Christian Stevenson (DJ BBQ) and Chris Taylor. Shot by the incredible David Loftus, the book provides recipes and instruction for baking over fire in a number of ways.
David has written for Sandwich Magazine, Eaten Magazine and collaborated on books such as DJ BBQ’s Fire Feasts & Camp Bestival at Home.
In March 2025, Breaking Bread was released by Aurum. It was also released on audiobook and e-book. This was David’s first solo project, which journalist and food writer, Olia Hercules described as “A brilliant, timely and important book, full of compassion.”
David teaches bakery classes at Pump Street Workshop.
